Retail management is a great job to develop transferrable skills. The hard part is to decide the new direction you want to go. Take a number of career planning tests to see if there is something that keeps popping up. Once you have a new target career - you should have a professional help you target your resume. I think you will be surprised at how much of your experience will transfer very well. Remember - the days of having a single career for 30 years are gone. Many people are having 2-3 different careers in the course of their life.

Can you go in to the administartive part of retail? The Corperate/company office etc? Return to school get a degree.

How about Real Estate, banking, loan officer, mortgage broker, purchasing officer or purchasing agent, marketing and/or advertisement
